3PB Direct

How much experience do you have in this area?

I have over 15 years’ experience as a highly skilled family and criminal barrister and throughout that time I’ve been repeatedly instructed due to my impressive skills in and out of the Courtroom.

How would you describe your approach to working with clients?

I pride myself on developing a good working rapport with all clients I work with. I’m repeatedly instructed by those I’ve previously represented, and by instructing solicitors. I often receives letters and cards of thanks from those I’ve defended and a card from a nurse, whom I recently defended, said ‘thank you for your support and hard work on my case, and for believing in me. You are brilliant at what you do’.

Legal Expertise

My matrimonial finance and divorce expertise includes financial orders under s25 of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973; Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996; interlocutory applications for maintenance; transfer of tenancy; overseas assets; third parties, usually in-laws, intervening in ancillary relief proceedings; applications for provision for children under the Children Act 1989 Sch 1 and inheritance.

In private cases I have experience of cases involving, for example, child arrangements in relation to general contact issues, where the child lives and how much time the child spends with each parent, prohibited steps and specific issue orders. I’m also interested in cases that have an international dimension whether concerning the removal of children from one country to another, abduction or financial applications for children.

I accept instructions from parents, grandparents and children’s guardians and have particular interest in helping with cases involving significant harm from neglect, severe emotional abuse causing psychological damage to children, and cases involving serious physical harm.

I represent individuals accused of offences of particular complexity and seriousness. These may include cases involving (but are not limited to) serious child sex offences (including historic offences); accusations of rape and indictment; attempted murder; corporate manslaughter; armed robbery; blackmail; grievous bodily harm; kidnap and severe harassment.
