I trained as a barrister in 1999 and have over 18 years’ experience of family law. I’ve also worked with people with mental health and learning difficulties and those from minority ethnic groups.
Before becoming a barrister I was a school teacher and special educational needs co-ordinator so I’d probably have continued working with children and young adults.
I act on legally-aided and privately-funded childcare cases, including where there are allegations of sexual abuse, non-accidental injuries, death of a child or parent and non-compliance with contact orders.
I can represent parents, children’s guardians, solicitors and local authorities in public law children cases, private law applications and financial remedy applications.
I also have experience of international family disputes, including forced marriage and cases involving overseas adoption matters and child abduction.
