I’m known for my down-to-earth manner, yet robust and sympathetic approach. I prioritise thorough preparation and client care, particularly assisting clients in achieving an understanding of the legal intricacies of their case and all avenues open to them both within and outside of the court process.
I’m routinely instructed by a number of Local Authorities in public family law cases and I also represent parents, children (by way of their Guardian or personally when age-appropriate) and other family members.
I regularly represent the most vulnerable clients, including those with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties and I’ve conducted lengthy and complex fact-finding hearings involving significant injuries (including those of a fatal nature) to children, neglect and sexual abuse. I’ve also presented many legal arguments on subjects such as implacable hostility (where one parent denies access to, or contact with, their child(ren) after separation or divorce) and jurisdiction. I’m also experienced in handling cases with significant domestic violence. Finally, my expertise and experience includes child abduction matters both at home and abroad.
