I qualified as a barrister in 2011 and have specialised in property ever since. I have experience in respect of proceedings in the County Court, the High Court and the First Tier and Upper Tribunals. I am the author of a specialist textbook on land law (“Restrictions on the Use of Land”, Wildy 2016).
I have extensive experience of land disputes, including those concerning private and public rights of way, covenants that impact upon the use of land and disputes about boundaries and rights of drainage. In addition, I can assist with nuisance cases (such as where land has been flooded) and disputes concerning adverse possession of land.
I also accept instructions in relation to residential landlord/tenant matters and I can assist with all matters that relate to residential leases. In addition to disputes about service charges, claims for breach of covenant (for example in the context of disrepair) and evictions, I also deal with lease extensions and leasehold enfranchisement.
In relation to commercial property I can advise on all matters relating to commercial leases from simple s.25 notices and forfeiture to dilapidation claims. I can assist with the interpretation and enforcement of leasehold covenants and rent reviews.
