I’ve specialised in family law since 1998 having initially practiced in civil, company and commercial law. A former Director of Studies in Business as well as the Business Law degree at Bournemouth University.
My practice spans most areas of family law, but my principal area of work is money on divorce or ancillary relief as it was formerly known or financial order/remedy applications as it is now known. I’m regularly instructed in large asset or otherwise complex and difficult cases and my academic and company and commercial background mean I’m ideally suited for dealing with those unusually complex issues which involve businesses, farms, trusts, foreign interests/assets and insolvency.
In addition, I’m a well known expert in cohabitation and TOLATA, advising on property disputes and undue influence claims, Schedule 1 Children Act applications and occupation order applications as well as the more intricate applications for financial relief after a foreign divorce and Inheritance Act claim.
Finally, I’m a qualified family law mediator and family law arbitrator and frequently represent members of the public at hearings and throughout family dispute cases.
