30 years’ experience as a family law barrister.
I’m known for my calm, understanding and sensitive manner backed by an extensive knowledge of family law.
I’m happy to take on both private and public family law matters and have in-depth experience of dealing with Court of Protection cases. I’ve acted for clients in both health and welfare matters and in cases involving property and finance.
I can assist with all aspects of disputes regarding children – with whom they should live and with whom they should have contact.
I have extensive experience of the most difficult and challenging private law children disputes and bring this knowledge to bear in providing realistic advice, sensitive negotiation and, where necessary, robust and effective advocacy.
I can further help you with all family finance matters including disputes regarding the family home and pensions. When you apply for a divorce or dissolution, a financial arrangement will usually be needed to settle financial and property matters and allow a ‘clean break’.
There are times though where you cannot reach an agreement, and if this happens you can apply to have the court decide how assets should be divided; a process called “ancillary relief”. I’ve had experience in conducting claims where there are assets of substance [up to £15 million], trusts, business assets, intervening parties and foreign or jurisdictional elements.
I’ve also looked after cases involving inheritance provision, Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA), Schedule 1 Children Act Claims and child support matters.
I always striving for the most practical and economic solutions in the best interests of those I represent.
